It was -5 today on the way to school (it’s almost a mile…uphill). We’ve been getting weekly “strep letters” from the school nurse alerting us about the casualties in each class (we had one fall victim already). And the calendar is packed with joyous events which no one wants to miss. What’s a mom to do? This mom relies on tummy-warming recipes from the Campbells Kitchen for meals that are quick, nourishing and the perfect antidote to the crazy season.
I’m sharing a few delicious finds from Campbells sweet Wisest Kid in the Whole World. He’s been busy (like the rest of us!) whipping up ideas to get your kids to sit down, slow down and enjoy a meal together.

First challenge? Getting kids to eat the good stuff. Sugar is plentiful this time of year. Cookies, chocolate, Shirley Temples…you know what I mean. Getting the recommended servings of vegetables is tough. The answer: “Veggie Contentment.” The Wisest Kid says, Broccoli on the side gets denied. Moms want to find a variety of options at mealtime that the family will enjoy, while kids just want food that tastes good. Chicken Broccoli Divan uses 4 cups of broccoli in the recipe! The secret is in the sauce–which uses cream of chicken soup for delicious results. Click here for the recipe!
Problem #2: Quick meals that aren’t boring. Whats your favorite meal to curl up with on a cold, snowy day? Ours is soup.

Dipable Fun: According to The Wisest Kid, there are More ways to dunk than can be thunk. What do your wise kids prefer with their Campbells Tomato Soup? Some of our favorites to dunk are: Pepperidge Farm® Goldfish®, Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Pretzels, Popcorn and Chicken Fingers. Start dunking! There is nothing like a hot meal or snack after outdoor fun to warm up kids from the inside out.

The final issue is time. Who’s got enough of it? Not I! This Cheeseburger Mac & Cheese casserole can get on the table in 45 minutes from start to finish (and a lot of that time is spent baking!). With a meal this tasty, you know the family will tuck in and reconnect at the dinner table.
